Mini Maestro LLC ("Mini Maestro," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Mini Maestro mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your name and email address when you create an account.
• Child profile information: your child's first name, date of birth and age group (2-3 or 4-6), and an optional profile photo.
• Health and safety information: any allergies, medications, or special needs you provide at enrollment. We collect this for one reason, your child's safety. It is shown only to your child's Maestro and coordinators so they can prevent allergic reactions, respond to medical needs, and accommodate special needs during class. It is never used for marketing and never shared for any other purpose.
• Class enrollment data: the class(es) your child is enrolled in and attendance records.
• Photos: session photos uploaded by Mini Maestro Maestros as part of class session reports, visible to enrolled parents in the in-app gallery.
• Messages: messages you send to Mini Maestro coordinators through the in-app messaging feature.
• Staff contact information: name, email, and phone number for Mini Maestro coordinators and Maestros, shown in the in-app staff directory.
• Device push notification tokens: collected when you grant notification permission, used solely to deliver push notifications from the App.
• Usage data: basic interactions within the App (e.g., badge completions, emoji reactions on photos).

We do not collect payment information, Social Security numbers, or government-issued identification.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and your child's profile.
• Keep your child safe during class by making their allergies, medications, and special needs visible to their Maestro and coordinators, so staff can prevent allergic reactions and accommodate special needs.
• Deliver session reports, class updates, and milestone notifications.
• Send push notifications about your child's class (cancellations, badge awards, report approvals).
• Enable communication between parents and Mini Maestro coordinators.
• Display class photos in your enrolled child's private gallery.
• Track your child's musical skill milestones and badge progress.
• Improve the App and our program operations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: we use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each operates under their own privacy policy:
  • Supabase: database, authentication, and avatar storage
  • Cloudflare: private, encrypted storage and secure delivery of class photos
  • Expo (EAS): app build and push notification delivery
  • Resend: transactional email delivery
  • Jackrabbit Class: class enrollment and attendance management
  • Vimeo: curriculum video hosting
• Mini Maestro staff: coordinators and Maestros access your child's profile and session data as necessary to run the program.
• Marketing materials: with your consent (enabled by default, and you may opt out at any time; see Section 4), we may feature class photos that include your child in our marketing, such as our website, social media, and printed or digital promotional materials.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of children or others.

4. Children's Privacy

Mini Maestro serves children ages 2-6. Accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All child profile data is entered by the parent or guardian at account setup.

Any health or safety information (such as allergies, medications, or special needs) is provided by the parent or guardian and is used only to keep your child safe during class. It is visible only to your child's Maestro and coordinators and is never used for marketing.

Session photos are taken by Mini Maestro Maestros during class. Within the App, a session photo is only visible to parents enrolled in that specific class. Photos are not shared in-app with other parents.

With your consent, Mini Maestro may also use class photos that include your child in our marketing materials, for example our website, social media, and printed or digital promotional materials. This use is enabled by default, and you may opt your child out at any time by contacting our program coordinator at frontdesk@minimaestrotx.com. When you opt a child out, we will not feature that child in new marketing materials; please allow reasonable time for any already-published materials to be updated.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from or about a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately at frontdesk@minimaestrotx.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time directly in the App (Account, then Delete Account), or by contacting us. Session photos and reports may be retained for up to 12 months after the program year ends.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies on our database, access controls that limit staff visibility to relevant data only, and private photo storage served only through short-lived, signed links (children's photos are never available at public web addresses). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you and your child.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated personal data, directly in the App (Account, then Delete Account) or by contacting us.
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device's notification settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
